About Sierra Gold Rottweilers

Hello. Thanks for visiting the WWW home of Sierra Gold Rottweilers. We
live in the Nevada State Capital of Carson City, located about 35 miles
south of Reno and only a short drive from beautiful Lake Tahoe. Our "high
desert" climate is somewhat cold, but mild (snow wise) in winter and has
hot dry summers. I own and operate Nevada Underground Location, a Subsurface
Utility Engineering Company, and Janet is employed at Science Based Health,
a pharmaceutical grade vitamin/supplement company.

We've been in love with Rottweilers for the past 14 years. We adopted
our first Rotti/GSD mix male "Coaley" from a lady who couldn't keep him
after her husband passed away. "Cassi" a short stout female, most likely
of German origin was picked up wandering around Reno, NV. She "found"
my wife Janet on a spur of the moment visit to the Reno Animal
Shelter. Coaley was 15+ years old when he passed, and Cassi (featured in
the two pictures below) was around 13+ years old when she passed over
The Rainbow Bridge. Please be sure to read our page dedicated
to Cassi - I'm In Your
Heart. We were very fortunate to have started in confirmation showing with an exceptional pair of
litter mates in 1997, the "Dynamic Duo" "Demmi" and "Gandy,"
from Mike and Dianna McKinzie, formerly "Sandov's Rottweilers."
Over the years we have enjoyed showing our dogs all over
the US.
*FLASH* Bannor's sister, "Multi
BOB/ Group III /BISS/BOSS/Multi AOM / Am CH Sierra Gold's Bea"
took Best
in Specialty Show at 10 months old [possibly a 1st
for a Rottweiler puppy] and finished her AKC Championship at 12 months
old with her third Major [4,5,5] taking Winners Bitch over 151 entries
at the 2003 ARC Nationals in Greeley, CO. :-) For 2003, she is
rated in the Top 20 in two systems and the #5 Rottweiler Bitch!
WOW!
Bannor and Bea's younger sister "CH Nighthawks CallGirl v Sierra Gold", Trix, and younger brother "Sierra Gold's Cajn Cassanova" are following in big brother and sister's footsteps.

We have been active in Therapy Dog work, conformation, training,
obedience, agility, herding, and are members of various National and local
dog clubs. Janet is an AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) tester, a former
4-H leader, and founder of two 4-H Therapy Dog Clubs here in Carson City.

We also enjoy camping, backpacking (yes with our dogs) and presenting
our noble breed to the public in parades.
